If by the end of January there are still available vacancies, applications can also be submitted subsequently. By the 5th of August of the current year, the parents whose children have already attended the Home of the Children, will have to pay the enrollment fee for the following year, except for dispensation request to another kindergarten. Application will have to be written on pre-made forms with the following documents attached:
- Copy of the legally mandatory vaccinations list, released by the ASL (Local Healthcare Authority) in charge; subsequently, the parent is required to update the document held by the school stating the vaccinations that have been done.
- Certificate of possible food intolerances and/or allergies. If there is any different food requirement, as compared to the diet we have planned (SPECIAL), the same will have to be certified by the Paediatrician of choice and shared with the school’s Head Office which, at the same time, will submit it to the ASL in charge;

COST OF THE SERVICE AND PAYMENT METHODS
As established in the Contract for School Services, the payment of the fee will have to be made through SEPA. When subscribing the SEPA model at the administrative office, the family will be able to decide the terms of payment of the fees (monthly payments, on the 5th of each month, bimonthly payments, annual payments, etc.).
In case the SEPA results to be unpaid, bank expenses will be charged to the family on the following fee.
Exonerations, suspensions or reductions on payments due to absences are not possible, even if they are due to major causes. In no case discounts on payments can be applied, except in case of siblings attending school at the same time. In that case, a 10% discount on one fee is allowed if there are siblings enrolled in the Institute.
Included with the fee, the Home of the Children provides personal hygiene products for the child, activities related material, insurance.
Meals are paid outside the fee after actually being consumed, and will be counted and paid for at the beginning of the following month (ex. Meals of September will have to be paid at the beginning of October after counting the ones the child has actually had).
The cost of a single meal is 6.00 Euros.
In case of definitive withdraw of the child from the School until the end of the school year, the family will have to share a written notice with the administrative office situated in Via Fonti Copeerte 38/Z (location of Middle School and High School).
September’s fee will have to be paid entirely regardless of the school year starting date established every year by the Regional Education Department.

Children cannot come in or leave outside of the established times, except, in exceptional circumstances, with written request valid all year through, motivated by parents and approved by the Headmistress.
For organisational reasons (particularly for meals arranging) we ask to communicate absences before 9.00 a.m.
VISITS: during the school year, small groups or single people could be present at school to observe the didactic, according to the Montessori method. Such visits will be determined according to times and modalities decided each time by the school itself, careful not to interfere with the children’s work and activities.
EXITS AND AUTHORISATIONS
At the time of handover, the teacher will accompany the child giving the parent the information on their day.
To exit the Home of the Children, teachers will handover children to the parents or to adults that have been previously authorised with a written authorisation from the parents along with a copy of ID.
For the possible occasional collection from another adult, it is essential to have a written authorisation from a parent and for the person collecting the child to present an ID. There will be no exception.
CLOTHING AND SUPPLIES
The child will need to bring the following items:
- N. 1 pastel smock, with front buttoning (big buttons) with the name of the child written in cursive on it;
- A pair of light velcro running shoes;
- A backpack for kindergarten with: n. 1 cloth satchel with n. 1 bib (both with the name of the child written in cursive on them), n. 1 paper or cloth placemat, n. 1 glass, n. 1 adult bowl and cutlery;
- A full comfortable clothing change.
Every day teachers will hand over the satchel to parents with the things they have used during the day (for cleaning), to be brought back the next day.
FOOD
The Home of the Children is equipped with an internal kitchen according to the health regulations of the Regione Umbria. The menus we serve are established by the ASL in charge and adequate to the age of the child.
No food brought by the parents from outside is allowed in the school (beverages, yogurt, etc.).
For children’s birthdays, cakes can possibly be brought in from authorised commercial exercises which will certify the absence of preservatives, liquors, creams, zabaglione, whole cream, food colouring and dried fruit (nuts, walnuts, peanuts, pistachios, etc.). Parents who bring cakes in will have to give the receipt to the kitchen (to allow them to check the traceability of foods).
HEALTH REGULATIONS
MEDICINES OF ANY KIND CANNOT AND MUST NOT BE GIVEN TO CHILDREN ATTENDING THE HOME OF THE CHILDREN.
Providing medicines during school hours is allowed only for serious and rare particular pathologies that will have to be documented by a certificate from the paediatrician following the child’s case. Said certificate should have the indication of the medicine, the posology, time and methods of administration; it will also have to state the medicine is essential during the hours where the child is at the Home of the Children.
Moreover, providing any therapy always needs both a written request-authorisation from a parent and a specific medical certificate which states the prescription; both documents will be kept in the specific folder in the administrative office.
In order to put in place all the necessary sanitary norms to reduce the spread of possible viruses among the children in the Home of the Children, every time a child stays home the parent has to:
- Warn the staff the same day of the absence (before 9.00 a.m.);
- in case a virus comes up, immediately tell the staff of the Home of the Children so they can take the necessary measures for the community;
Preventing the child from attending school must be done if the child shows:
- Fever (armpit temperature equal to or higher than 37,5° C or rectal temperature equal to or higher than 38° C);
- Diarrhoea (2 or more episodes of liquid faeces) in the same day;
- Persistent cough with trouble breathing;
- Sickness (2 or more episodes) in the same day;
- Purulent pinkeye (defined by conjunctiva with yellow secretions of the eye);
- Extended skin rashes with unidentified elements like bugs bites;
- Stomatitis and sialorrhoea (heavy salivation) and/or trouble eating;
- Persistent crying, unusual for said child;
- Unusual apathy, hyporesponsiveness.
In these cases, teachers will phone to warn the parents and they will have to immediately go to School and collect the child.
The child will be allowed to resume regular attendance after 2 days of absence from school (beside the day absence has started).
In case the child is under antibiotics therapy, they will have to stay home until it has ended.
Children are not allowed to enter if they present evident symptoms that teachers can easily recognise as of contagious diseases (ex. Pinkeye).
In particular cases (ex. Casts, extended bandages, etc.) the Headmistress and teachers will evaluate, for each case and based on the situation, if they can allow the child to attend School, if their physical limitation does not require care the staff could not be able to provide without compromising other children’s health and safety.
HEAD OFFICE AND TEACHERS ENSURE MAXIMUM ATTENTION SO THAT INFECTIONS ARE REDUCED. IN ORDER TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN WE ASK MAXIMUM COOPERATION FROM THE PARENTS TO COME AND COLLECT THE CHILD AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
In case of significant variations (regional health laws etc.) the health regulations could be amended throughout the school year.
For all that is not included in the present rules please refer to the Laws in force.
